Opal Green is a biocide for use on external hard surfaces. Designed to work on roofs, driveways, pathways and in the areas around buildings, it is ideally applied by surface spray. To achieve greatest effectiveness, all areas to be cleaned should be thoroughly wetted. Opal Green works on contact and continues to work for five to seven days post application, in extreme cases, a second treatment may be necessary. A new solution should be made daily.

Many of the cushion mosses can be difficult to control due to their dense growth habit so can exhibit variable susceptibility to moss treatment. In some instances a second treatment may be necessary. All surfaces may be used after the application has dried.
